Cesar DeFuentes was born in Havana, Cuba and moved to Miami with his family at age 17. He obtained a bachelor's in psychology in 1998 and after working as a behavioral researcher for many years, he decided to go into the creative arts. This brought him to Los Angeles, California, a city filled with diverse cultures and excitement. His passion for psychology always remained alive and he put it into use in his writing and acting. He eventually decided to go back to school to become a marriage and family therapist. It’s a field where he can help others become better versions of themselves. This resonates with DeFuentes, because his own life’s challenges have proven to be catalysts for growth and fulfillment. He wants to guide others to transform their difficulties into opportunities for achieving personal success. He feels passionately about this goal because, as a child growing up in Cuba, mental health services were not available to him or his family.
