This committee selects MFP fellows from hundreds of candidates, tracks the progress of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (MHSAS) fellows and Services for Transition Age Youth (STAY) fellows, offers student advisement, shapes the policies of the fellowship, and serves as role models and mentors to the fellows.
The Interdisciplinary Minority Fellowship Program (IMFP) Training Advisory Committee is composed of outstanding psychologists, nurses, social workers, mental health providers, persons with lived experience, and community advocates who provide leadership, sound advice, professional judgment, and extraordinary commitment to the fellowship program. The ITAC meets once a year and attends the Interdisciplinary Summer Institute. They read and evaluate the applications of hundreds of candidates from our six disciplines.
Other functions of the committee include tracking the progress of fellows, consulting on fellows’ community projects, offering student advisement, and shaping the policies of the IMFP fellowship. These successful and dedicated advisors serve as role models and mentors to IMFP fellows. ITAC members welcome your interest in their work and are open to sharing ideas related to research and training. We strongly encourage you to take advantage of their experience, wisdom, and openness.
IMFP is currently seeking nominations for two new ITAC members. Learn more.
