Claudia Valentine is a first-year Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate student at Lynn University and earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Western Governors University. She is a driven community servant with a dedication to the holistic healing and upliftment of Black and Indigenous People of Color and other marginalized groups. Claudia’s areas of clinical interest include relational-cultural therapy, expressive therapies, trauma-focused modalities, group work, neurodiversity-affirming therapies, and spirituality. She plans to use her lived experience and clinical training to support a variety of clients, especially BIPOC and neurodiverse women, adolescents, couples, and families recovering from substance use, trauma, relational issues, and the psychosocial effects of systemic oppression. Claudia is dedicated to developing and maintaining cultural humility through scholarship, clinical practice, and community work. She is currently engaged in arts-based participatory research with Lynn faculty, students, and BIPOC community youth.
