Takahashi (he/they) is a doctoral student in clinical psychology at the PGSP-Stanford PsyD Consortium. Prior to joining his doctoral program, Takahashi earned his Master of Marriage and Family Therapy degree from the University of Southern California and pursued clinical licensure as a marriage and family therapist. As a queer person of color, Takahashi focused on providing care to individuals, couples/polycules, and groups at various intersections of oppression in community-based, integrated behavioral health, and private practice settings. He strives to take a systems approach to address issues of accessibility for marginalized communities by serving as a clinician, supervisor, researcher, and educator. His primary areas of interest include LGBTQIA+ mental health, culturally responsive therapy, intersectional identity development, trauma, and psychology training.
