Leithman, completed his clinical psychology doctoral degree at Pepperdine University in 2024. He has worked in forensic and correctional psychology for the past five years. He completed his predoctoral internship at a Federal Prison, where he provided individual and group therapy for incarcerated males and transgender females. His dissertation focused on transgender inmate experiences in federal, state, and county custody. Dr. Leithman is passionate about bridging the gap between the Black community and mental health. He is particularly interested in the intersectionality of trauma and forensic assessments in the Black community.
