Giselle Cordero-Arroyo, PhD
Giselle Cordero-Arroyo, PhD is a faculty member of the School of Behavioral and Brain Sciences at Ponce Health Sciences University, where she co-leads the Cognition, Health, and Technology Laboratory. She is a fellow of the Strategic Pipeline for Academic Research Career Success Program, associated with the Research Center for Minority Institutions at Ponce Research Institute. Her research work is focused on cognitive and psychological functioning in individuals with gastrointestinal disorders, particularly Celiac Disease. She serves as a qualitative methodologist and analyst in several NIH-funded studies. Cordero-Arroyo obtained her Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus. She has presented her work at local and international conferences and published books and articles in various scientific journals. She was the editor-in-chief of the Health and Human Behavior scientific journal and has served as a reviewer for peer-reviewed scientific journals. She is affiliated with professional associations, including the Puerto Rico Psychological Association, the American Psychological Association, the Inter-American Society of Psychology, the Society for the Improvement of Psychological Science, the International Society for the Study of Celiac Disease, among others.
