Kenna Yadeta

Kenna Yadeta, raised in Silver Spring, MD, is the daughter of Ethiopian immigrants. She earned her B.S. in Cognitive and Behavior Neuroscience, with a minor in Psychology, from Villanova University in 2018 and went on to receive her MPH from Drexel University in 2020. After completing her MPH, she spent two years as a postbac at the NIH's National Institute on Drug Abuse before beginning her doctoral journey in Counseling Psychology at Virginia Commonwealth University. 


Now a rising fifth year in the program, Kenna has been awarded two fellowships, presented at conferences, published manuscripts, and completed a range of clinical practicums working with diverse populations and clinical concerns. In her personal life, Kenna enjoys spending time with family and friends, attending concerts, going to the movies, and taking walks in nature.
