Marissa Baudino, PhD

Marissa Baudino, PhD (pronouns: she/her/hers) is an assistant professor in the Department of Psychology at East Carolina University. She received her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Oklahoma State University in 2022, where she specialized in pediatric and clinical child psychology. Dr. Baudino completed postdoctoral training as a JDRF Diabetes Psychology Fellow at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children’s Hospital. Her current research focuses on identifying factors that contribute to or reduce health disparities in youth with type 1 diabetes who live in rural communities to develop culturally and contextually appropriate interventions to improve psychosocial, behavioral, and health outcomes.
