Paola Rodriguez

Paola (she/her) is a first-generation college graduate, she graduated from George Mason University in 2021, in which she majored in both Forensic Psychology and Educational Psychology. Additionally, she obtained a minor in American Sign Language. Paola is currently pursuing a master’s in clinical Mental Health Counseling from Marymount University. As a child of immigrants and a bilingual individual, she plans to utilize her skills and knowledge to provide culturally competent mental health counseling services to individuals of Spanish-speaking immigrant families. She plans on supporting and advocating for clients and hopes to contribute to the de-stigmatization of mental health in the Latinx community. Paola is currently completing her internship at Life Stance Health working with court-mandated domestic violence perpetrators. Paola intends to work with traumatized populations, culturally and age-diverse populations, persons in life transitions, and adolescents and young adults in crisis. Additionally, she looks forward to contributing to making mental health services more accessible by working with those who are medically underserved and historically marginalized by providing evidence-based and non-traditional treatment. Paola hopes to work collaboratively with clients to facilitate growth and resiliency by creating a safe space for healing.
