Tara Maxwell, MD

Tara Maxwell, MD is a pediatric endocrinologist currently employed by the Joslin Diabetes Center and Boston Children's Hospital as a staff endocrinologist. Maxwell is an instructor at Harvard Medical School. As of July 1, 2024, she will be transitioning to a staff position at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine. Maxwell graduated with her MD from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (formerly UMDNJ) in 2013 and with her master’s in health policy research from the University of Pennsylvania in 2019. Maxwell is interested in using digital health, specifically social media, to support young people with type 1 diabetes.
