Terri M. Davis, PhD, served as the 2022 chair of the MFP Training Advisory Committee. Davis is a member of APA Division 17 (Society of Counseling Psychology). She is also a class member of the APA Leadership Institute of Women in Psychology. She served as lead coordinator for the 2017 National Multicultural Conference and Summit. She was most recently associate professor and PsyD program director at the University of Denver.
She earned MA and PhD degrees in counseling psychology from The Ohio State University, completed an internship at the University of Pennsylvania Counseling and Psychological Services, and earned a BA degree in psychology from Virginia Union University. Mentoring MFP Fellows is a professional honor and a personal joy. Her current interests focus on the educational needs of graduate students with salient intersecting cultural identities and the use of self in clinical work. She also works to identify and challenge the systems and policies within psychology that can hinder the development of future psychologists.
