Tomeco R. Washington, MA, LPC, ACS, MA, LPC, ACS, is a lead clinician and restorative community service coordinator for Effective School Solutions. Washington previously worked as a program coordinator at Rutgers University UBHC Acute Partial Hospitalization Program for Adults in Piscataway, New Jersey and as the COVID-19 Connect clinical supervisor. Washington enjoys working as an in-home therapist for children, teens, and families in the Middlesex County area for Unlocked Potential LLC. She enjoys participating in multiple community service activities, resulting in her being a member of the Middlesex County Trauma Loss Coalition Team. Her passion includes her working with the most challenging clientele, resulting in her volunteering for the Piscataway Police Department Domestic Violence Crisis Intervention Team where she serves as the co-chairperson.
Washington has also served as a volunteer for the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office Sexual Assault Response Team (SART). Washington initially began her career in Georgia working with teens with emotional and behavior disorders in middle school and she later continued her career at a children’s hospital/wilderness camp as a counselor for males who were at risk youth and teenage sex offenders. Washington has extensive experience working with individuals of all ages and she enjoys creating interactive trainings and workshops.
Washington and her daughter, Diamond, have relaunched a business that they call Precious Diamonds, in which they share their personal life struggles to empower others to be victorious “in the midst of the storm,” focusing specifically on addressing sexual abuse and domestic violence via interactive trainings for youth and adults. Washington’s favorite saying is “Life is a gift—enjoy every second.” The Bible verse she enjoys most is Matthew 5:16 “Let your light so shine among men that they may see your good works and glorify your father which is in heaven.”
