Yubisela Aranda Sandoval, also known as Yubi, is completing her master’s degree as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in the Counseling and Educational Development Program at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She is passionate about uplifting and empowering couples, families, and individuals to embrace their voices and intersectionality. Yubi’s immigrant background and service to the Latine and immigrant community have greatly influenced her career path and motivation to work in her community. She has been actively engaged in the Latine community for the past 11 years as an advocate for immigrant rights and higher education access for all, particularly for DACA and undocumented individuals. Yubi has served the Greensboro community and beyond in various non-profits and initiatives such as the Latino Community Coalition of Guilford, Youth Focus, Immigrant Fund, United Way of Greater Greensboro, and Latinx Ed. She currently serves as the Development Director for Casa Azul of Greensboro, a local non-profit whose mission is to promote Latine art and culture. She enjoys working with organizations that give a voice to those underrepresented and networking with other professionals looking to grow and develop into future community leaders. When she is not at school or in work mode, Yubi enjoys yoga, running, and meditating to help her destress and clear her mind.
