Ana M. Gutierrez-Colina, PhD

Ana M. Gutierrez-Colina, PhD, is a research scientist at Colorado State University Fort Collins, Colorado. Gutierrez-Colina received her doctoral degree in clinical psychology at the University of Georgia. She completed her residency in behavior medicine and clinical psychology, followed by a T32 post-doctoral fellowship at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. Her research is focused on health promotion and self-management in youth with metabolic disease and associated comorbidities. She is interested in understanding the role of neurocognitive vulnerabilities and how they can be effectively modified through behavioral interventions to improve clinical outcomes, particularly among minoritized youth.
